Asthma Education For Kids

OAS Open Airways for Schools is an interactive educational program in the schools designed to empower children and their parents to take control of asthma.

Asthma Residential Camps – Annual Residential Asthma Camps are offered for asthmatic children ages 8-13 in southern Nevada free of charge. These camps are staffed by physicians, nurses and respiratory therapist and provide a mechanism for asthmatic patients to enjoy camp activities under medical supervision. Through scheduled activities, children learn to understand their disease and learn how to cope with and manage their disease on a daily basis.

Asthma Screening – Each year over 30,000 Nevada elementary school children are invited to participate in a screening for asthma. Free Pulmonary Function Tests are offered to those whose test results indicate a possibility of asthma.
